There are lots of ways to spell relief. One tried and true way has three main ingredients: flip chart paper, markers and 3M Post-it notes. Coming to terms with the idea that this trip falls in the category of 'missions' versus 'vacation' or 'business' (of course the last two are basically the same thing) has helped to embrace the proper organization and preparation mind-set.

So far there are 4 flip chart pages and one is labeled 'packing list'. That one includes:  Documents like the ones needed for international travel and adoption. Gifts for the children at the orphanage like games, and little candies. Food for meals until we learn the area. Food we can't live without once we do like salad dressing and honey nut Cheerios. Clothesline as clothes dryers are not popular. Adapters to be able to use our appliances with their electricity. Schoolwork for Lucas.

Ahhh there are lots of ways to spell relief....

  1. Business / vacation... one in the same, I know, right? I would love to contribute gifts to the orphanage... how do I go about doing so? Judy
